The most important specification for determining the durability of vinyl flooring is the thickness of the wear layer. Our Modin Collection sets a new standard with 40 mil (1.0 mm) of premium virgin PVC, which is twice the commercial standard thickness. This luxuriously thick wear layer covers the paper print-film, providing unparalleled resistance against wear and water.

The core of our planks has been reformulated to a majority-limestone composite, creating a uniquely "rigid" property. By using up to 70% limestone content, we have significantly reduced expansion and contraction, allowing our floors to tolerate temperatures up to 115°F and support runs of up to 70 feet with no transitions. This innovative rigid core design addresses the stability issues commonly associated with traditional vinyl planks.

Wider and longer planks create a sense of space and luxury. Most vinyl floors come in 6" or 7" widths and 36" or 48" lengths, but our Modin planks are designed to be 9" wide and 72" long. This extra-large size allows our gorgeous designs to be fully expressed, more accurately mimicking the look of high-end plank flooring. To ensure seamless patterns, we have designed proprietary extra-long designs that eliminate repeating patterns, further enhancing the realistic wood-like appearance.

Complementing the luxurious size and robust construction, our Modin Collection features a range of stunning finishes. Tones of golden oak and walnut, with sparse knots, balance the more traditional palette, resulting in a beautiful and versatile aesthetic. The embossed-in-register (EIR) texture means the physical surface of the plank matches the actual print-film design, creating a much more realistic looking and feeling floor. Enhanced bevels help accentuate the large size planks, further contributing to the high-end wood flooring aesthetic.

For added comfort and performance, our planks come with a pre-attached 1.5 mm IXPE foam underlayment. This closed-cell, 100% waterproof and mildew-resistant underlayment provides superior sound control and temperature insulation from the subfloor. The planks also feature a waterproof and scratch-resistant coating, ensuring your floor maintains its beautiful appearance for years to come.

Our Modin Collection qualifies for LEED credits as part of the USGBC program, and we aim to provide the highest percentage of recycled/recyclable synthetic products.
