At the heart of Lachlan's durability is the premium 40 mil (1.0 mm) wear layer made of thick, clear virgin PVC. This specification, which is twice the commercial standard, protects the underlying print-film and ensures long-lasting performance.

Luxuriously large planks further enhance the sense of space and luxury in any room. Measuring 9" wide and 72" long, these extra-large planks allow the gorgeous designs to be fully expressed, more accurately mimicking the look of high-end wood flooring. To prevent repeating patterns, our designers have created proprietary extra-long designs, ensuring a truly authentic appearance.

Addressing the stability issues often associated with traditional vinyl floors, Lachlan's planks feature a rigid, stone composite (SPC) core. Composed of up to 70% limestone, this core formulation significantly reduces expansion and contraction, even in spaces that reach temperatures up to 115°F. This innovative core also allows for longer runs of up to 70 feet without the need for transitions, providing uninterrupted design continuity.

Complementing the rigid core is a 1.5 mm pre-attached IXPE foam underlayment, which delivers sound control and temperature insulation from the subfloor. This closed-cell, 100% waterproof underlayment is also impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria, adding an extra layer of protection.

The finished surface of Lachlan planks is further enhanced with a waterproof and scratch-resistant coating. This protective layer resists wear and water, ensuring your floors maintain their beautiful appearance for longer. Additionally, the Embossed in Register (EIR) texture ensures the physical surface of the planks matches the actual print-film design, resulting in a remarkably realistic feel and appearance.

Deeper bevels on the edges of the planks accentuate the large, luxurious size, contributing to the high-end aesthetic.
